CHARACTERISTICS OF SUBSTRATE

FIRST COAT
Sunshield Low Sheen: Apply one thin coat (25 microns) followed by second and third coats as above.

(Sunshield Low Sheen is self priming to fibre cement, brick, masonry, render and most timber substrates. Aged, grey hardwood as well as tannin rich timbers should be primed with Multi Purpose Undercoat. Non-ferrous metals should be suitably prepared and primed. Sunshield Gloss neutral base is not self-priming.)

Compressed fibre cement may be presented as sheeting or moulded objects being high density usually affixed externally to metal or timber framing with expressed joints. Compressed fibre cement sheeting must be installed in accordance with the manufacturer�s instructions.


SURFACE PREPARATION

Ensure sheeting is installed as per manufactures instruction. Clean surface to ensure its is free from any contaminants such as dust, mould and mildew. Please ensure the removal off all dust which is best achieved with a stiff bristled broom.


ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Drying times are approximate at 25° C and 50% relative humidity. Allow longer drying times under cool, moist or low air movement conditions. Spreading rates will vary from the quoted theoretical rates depending on application methods and surrounding conditions.
Do not paint if temperatures are below 10°C or likely to fall below 10°C during drying period
